Alice is a Consultant at Maxxim with experience of process and operating model design. She graduated from Oxford with a 2:1 in Classics. Since she joined Maxxim Alice has been specialising in the Higher Education Sector. She is particularly aware of the multiple challenges universities face, both external and internal, and keenly understands the balance between the academic and business facets of universities. Alice led two pieces of research, the first investigating the Management Information which universities gather, both in terms of regulatory requirements and in terms of MI needed to manage the HEI in service of its strategy. The second was a piece research analysis looking at how the Higher Education Sector could be into divided into smaller sectors, the different characteristics of the sectors, where they overlapped and the challenges they faced.
Alice concentrated on process redesign in an organisational design project with a top ten 1994 university, which centred around developing a comprehensive set of improvements which could be made to the student administration function in Faculties, with the dual aim of increasing both efficiency and quality for staff and students. She also has experience of working with senior stakeholders at a teaching focused university, analysing their School structures and ways of working, and how this affects the ability to achieve success against university strategy.
