Ben Ackerman

Background

Ben is an experienced consultant and organisation design practitioner with experience across the end to end lifecycle of organisation design – from conducting organisational assessments to designing and implementing organisational structures that align to business strategy. Prior to joining Maxxim he spent sent six years working with PwC Consulting both within UK and New Zealand working with leading private and public sector organisations.

Ben has a 1^st Class Honours in Organisational Psychology and Qualitative and Quantitative Methods and has experience in change management, talent management, leadership assessment and development and project management of complex people transformation engagements.

Recent organisation design engagements include:

• Balfour Beatty –project managed the Detailed Design of one of their Operating companies working closely with the HRD, FD & ITD & Managing Director as the organisation moved to a Centralised Operating Model. As well as project managing the engagement for Maxxim, Ben also lead the IT transformation work, facilitating a number of key workshops and identifying efficiency and effectiveness opportunities.
  
  
• Major European Bank - led the detailed organisation design of a number of major functions of the Bank in response to the Irish Banking crisis of 2010. Ben worked for 6 months within the Bank, acting as the primary OD facilitator for workshops involving a number of Executive Committee members and Senior Management across the Bank.
  
  
• Big 6 Energy Supplier - led a 2month organisation design process to assist with the implementation of a cross-functional organisation design solution. This involved the development and delivery of two senior stakeholder workshops on “Organisation Design guiding principle development” and “Structure options analysis and evaluation”.
