Michael Hartz

Background

Michael brings a wide range of consulting experience, from 15 years as a management consultant with COBA (now part of PwC) and A.T. Kearney, interspersed with 4 years as a senior strategy manager within Barclays retail banking. His experience includes strategy development, the design & implementation of change programmes, process and operating model design, supply chain, and proposition design. He has an MBA from IMD, and BSc and MSc degrees from Imperial College, London. He has consulted for medium and large UK and international blue chip clients in both the private and public sectors; including Barclays, BP, DWP, Lloyds-TSB, Meggitt, Pon-CAT, and Virgin.

• Meggitt – Working closely with management team, designed and mobilised the implementation phase of the £25m SAP implementation within a key division, and programme managed it for duration of this phase.

• Pon-Cat (Caterpillar Inc’s Dutch & Scandinavian distributor) – Led cross-BU client team of senior line managers and business improvement managers who developed a single cross-SBU common blueprint for their core operational processes. 

• Lloyds TSB – Working closely with Business Unit MD, programme managed a complex “three to two business unit shuffle”, whereby the 13,000 business customers and 700 staff of a business banking business unit were split and transferred into two other business units.
